Major US retailer Sears recently enabled OpenID sign-on for their customer community website. There's speculation that this may be a major step towards pushing OpenID into the mainstream, i.e. beyond pure Web 2.0 service providers like Yahoo, Google and  Facebook and into the 'real' online retailing domain, see more here:
